Network Engineer – Cisco & Juniper Expert
Requirements
Must have:
– A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred; however, we are open to applicants with a combination of coursework and experience or those with extensive related professional experience. – A minimum of 5-7 years in Network Operations with thorough knowledge of Layer 2, Layer 3, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and IS-IS. – Proficiency with platform operating systems such as IOS, eOS, and JUNOS (IOS XR is preferred). – Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex networks, identify issues, and apply necessary corrections or enhancements for optimal network efficiency. – Must be a self-starter who demonstrates critical thinking, self-motivation, effective time management, and curiosity. – Ability to collaborate with different functional teams to influence and promote alignment.
Responsibilities:
- As a Network Engineer, you will be directly responsible for the planning, deployment, and management of lab networks, including the basic design of emerging network instances. – You will address network incidents, assess required resources for resolution, and lead the efforts to rectify issues. – Work within a small team of Engineers and closely cooperate with peer functions such as Design Engineering, Video Engineering, CMTS Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Center Infrastructure, and Project Management. – Champion engineering operations best practices to ensure seamless integration of data into lifecycle and infrastructure management tools. – Maintain clear and effective communication, documenting and sharing insights that influence strategic decisions and operational improvements.
