Fuel Systems Engineer — Segula Technologies Location: Auburn Hills, MIExperience Level: 2 YearsEmployment Type: Contract / Full-timePosition OverviewStellantis is seeking a Fuel Systems Engineer with a strong foundation in engine design and development to support the design, validation, and integration of fuel system components for current and next-generation powertrains. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engine subsystem design, fuel delivery systems, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and testing teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and validate fuel system components including fuel lines, injectors, pumps, regulators, filters, and rails for gasoline and hybrid engine programs.Support engine design activities, ensuring seamless integration of fuel systems with other powertrain components.Perform 3D modeling, packaging studies, and drawing creation using CATIA V5 or NX, following Stellantis design standards.Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and participate in DVP&R planning and validation activities.Support prototype builds, test planning, and data analysis for component and system-level performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engine design, calibration, validation, and supplier engineering.Manage ECR/ECO processes, documentation, and release activities through PLM tools (Teamcenter or ENOVIA).Analyze field issues and support root cause investigations and design countermeasures.Ensure compliance with Stellantis internal standards, FMVSS, and emissions regulations.Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Minimum 2 years of experience in fuel system design, development, or engine design within the automotive or powertrain industry.Proficient in CATIA V5 or NX for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.Working knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, and engine subsystem design principles.Familiarity with fuel delivery and vapor management systems.Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on experience in prototype validation or testing.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a cross-functional engineering environment.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers in fuel system or powertrain programs.Exposure to emission control systems, thermal management, or engine calibration.Knowledge of Stellantis engineering release processes and Teamcenter/ENOVIA systems.Green Belt or Six Sigma certification is a plus.Soft SkillsHighly motivated and proactive with strong attention to detail.Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and tight timelines.Effective communicator and strong collaborator with global teams
