About The Role The Business Analyst plays a vital role within the Benefit Administration department by bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This position is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements to ensure that processes, policies, and information systems align with organizational goals. The incumbent collaborates closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications. The Business Analyst will oversee moderate complexity projects, facilitate user acceptance testing, and provide guidance to end users. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in functional, operational, business, data, systems, or testing analysis.
- Moderate understanding of business analysis core competencies.
- Moderate understanding of SQL queries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize stakeholder meetings and facilitate discussions.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to manage challenging interactions professionally.
Responsibilities
- Gather, elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Assist in creating comprehensive requirements documentation and project plans.
- Participate in requirements analysis, verification sessions, and design reviews to ensure alignment with user needs.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing, including documentation, verification, and release management.
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot system, software, and process issues, collaborating with stakeholders for resolution.
- Develop solutions and workarounds for low to moderate complexity technical and business challenges.
- Create detailed documentation of business systems and user needs in a clear and organized manner.
- Monitor project progress, report on status, and identify potential risks to ensure timely delivery of quality outputs.
- Coordinate projects from initiation through implementation, managing new work requests and priorities.
- Provide guidance and training to end users to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems or processes.
