Salary Range: £33,564 – £37,619 BAR £38,744 – £39,865 per annum

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Wheelchair Assistant to join the team at Occupational Therapy.

To work alongside occupational therapists in the wheelchair service and rehabilitation ward (Les Marchant). To support with the practical tasks in running the services and to be pivotal in the delivery of rehabilitation plans to help patients live as independent and meaningful lives as possible. The post will work alongside the wheelchair therapist supporting the assessment and provision of wheelchairs. Tasks would include a degree of oversight of stock, registration of chairs on a database, support with assessments and provision and delivery of wheelchairs. In addition, the role would include supporting the therapists on Le Marchant to carry out rehabilitation programmes. Tasks would include supporting assessments, collating equipment and resources for programmes, carrying out sessions with patients, all to support improvement in people’s function and maintaining independence.
