Location: Boston, MA
Base Salary: $125,000 — $145,000 + discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits
A leading global investment firm with more than $180 billion in assets under management is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Special Situations team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic investment platform that provides bespoke capital solutions across asset classes, markets, and geographies.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee core finance functions, portfolio management, and investor reporting for a complex and evolving investment platform.

Understand and manage the accounting, tax, and legal implications of sophisticated fund structures.

Review monthly returns, NAVs, capital reporting, quarterly financial statements, and management fee/carry calculations.

Lead annual audit processes and coordinate closely with external auditors and administrators.

Partner with deal and portfolio management teams to address financial and operational matters.

Identify and drive process improvements through automation and technology to enhance reporting efficiency and data accessibility.

Support fundraising and investor requests through accurate and timely information delivery.
Qualifications

6–10 years of experience within an investment advisor, private equity, or public accounting environment.

Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background; familiarity with complex investment structures.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and operate with high independence.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of collaborating across teams and levels.

Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with VBA, Power BI, Alteryx, or Python preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CFA a strong plus.
