IT/OT Technology Engineer
Akkodis is searching for an Information Technology Engineer who has experience implementing, integrating, and maintaining technology systems that connect IT and OT environments in a manufacturing setting. Provides hands-on support for shop floor systems, ensures secure data flow, and drives continuous improvement.
Pay/Salary Range: $85,000 to $105,000 annually; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contact for IT/OT needs and translate business objectives into technology solutions.
- Implement and support SCADA, MES, HMI, and edge computing systems.
- Maintain connectivity between plant equipment and enterprise systems.
- Troubleshoot IT/OT issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support network integration, patching, and cybersecurity compliance.
- Document configurations and recommend system enhancements.
- Provide training and respond to critical incidents, including off-hours support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2 years IT/OT experience (4 years if non-degreed).
- Knowledge of SCADA, MES, HMI, industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, MQTT).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and regulatory standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Industry 4.0, cloud computing, robotics, and automation platforms.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security , ITIL, ISA-95, IEC 62443).
