Transportation Analyst
Overview
An organization is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Transportation Analyst to evaluate logistics operations, optimize transportation routes, and support day-to-day supply chain performance. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze transportation data including routing, delivery times, carrier performance, and freight costs.
- Monitor daily transportation operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Generate reports and dashboards to identify trends, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Optimize shipping routes, load planning, carrier selection, and scheduling.
- Support the selection and evaluation of third-party logistics providers.
- Collaborate with operations, warehouse, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain and update transportation management systems (TMS) or internal tracking tools.
- Review invoices, freight audits, and shipment documentation for accuracy.
- Assist in creating and improving SOPs for logistics and transportation processes.
- Support special projects such as automation initiatives, cost reduction programs, or network optimization.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools.
- Understanding of transportation operations, carriers, routing, and logistics terminology.
- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar platforms is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
