IT Senior Project Manager
DPP is seeking an IT Senior Project Manager for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.
Work arrangement:
- Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and as needed
- W2 position; 11 months
Position summary:
- The IT Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.
- Responsible for moderate number of work efforts simultaneously that vary from a smaller to a moderate scale, with smaller number of hours to moderate number of hours, and with moderate system impacts and moderate scope and complexity.
- Adheres to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adheres to high quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations.
- Monitors project plans, assignments and work efforts on a daily basis.
- Ensures resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalates functional, quality, timeline issues.
- Tracks key project milestones and adjusts project plans to meet the needs of work effort.
- Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.
Required technologies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Projects or similar software and schedule management.
- Experience in and desire to work in a fast-paced and agile technical environment with the ability to manage shifting priorities, abbreviated timelines and vendor- driven requirements.
- Able to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to present complex technical and business concepts to all stakeholders, including IT and business area representatives.
- Strong technical, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Budgeting experience.
- Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
- One or more active professional certifications: PMP certification, CAPM certification, Scrum Master certification and/or SAFe Scaled Agile Certification.
Minimum required work experience:
- 5 years of IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years of experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.
- Completion of the Client Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.
Required education/equivalency:
- Bachelor’s degree;
- OR, Associate degree (any major) and 2 years of job related experience;
- OR, 4 years of job-related work experience
