Account Executive
Founding Account Executive | Chicago
Rec Gen has partnered with a seed-stage startup to help recruit in Chicago, our client is building an AI powered platform that is transforming how fleet teams operate and manage procurement.
This is a true Founding Account Executive role with full ownership of the sales cycle and direct exposure to the CEO. You will play a key role in shaping the go-to-market motion, opening a new market and building early revenue momentum.
What you will be doing
Own the full sales cycle from first conversation through to close
Build pipeline through outbound, inbound and strategic partnerships
Run discovery, demos and commercial negotiations with decision makers
Work directly with the CEO on strategy, messaging and early GTM execution
Help build the sales process and repeatable playbooks from the ground up
Travel 20 to 40 percent as needed
What we are looking for
2+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales
Proven ability to own deals end to end and consistently hit quota
Comfort working in fast moving, early-stage environments
Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
Self-starter mindset with high accountability and ownership
Experience selling into operational or field-heavy environments is a plus but not required
