About The Role Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst on a contract-to-hire basis to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in owning SQL-based analysis, developing refined dashboards using Tableau, and maintaining consistent and accurate reporting metrics. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, with the ability to uncover actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, e-commerce, product, and engineering to analyze data, monitor trends, and recommend strategies for improving conversion rates, optimizing marketing spend, and elevating the overall customer experience.

Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a minimum of two years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or relevant analytics role. A Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Proven expertise in SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Google Analytics/GA4 is essential, along with a strong understanding of data visualization best practices. Experience working with digital marketing tools such as HubSpot, Shopify, Meta, and Google Ads platforms, as well as knowledge of marketing attribution models, is highly desirable. Familiarity with analyzing marketing and e-commerce performance, including conversion analysis, attribution, and A/B testing, is necessary. Candidates with experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain core business intelligence assets, including dashboards, data models, and scheduled reports using Tableau, ensuring adherence to best practices and creating executive-ready presentations.
  • Perform ad-hoc SQL analysis across various datasets such as Shopify, CRM, advertising platforms, and web analytics to answer high-impact business questions and support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze marketing and e-commerce performance across key channels including Meta, Google, email, paid media, SEO, and social media. Provide actionable recommendations to improve spend efficiency and return on investment.
  • Support AI initiatives by training and monitoring pretrained AI models on internal data to enhance accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and align outputs with business objectives.
  • Monitor sales trends and customer behavior to identify opportunities for growth, increased conversion, and deeper engagement. Develop insights that inform marketing and product strategies.
  • Create detailed reports, build visualizations, and reconcile data from multiple sources to support product strategy and performance analysis. Conduct ad-hoc market research as needed.
  • Collaborate with analytics engineering teams to ensure datasets are analytics-ready, maintaining data quality through validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Lead pre- and post-campaign measurement efforts, analyzing performance drivers and recommending optimization strategies to maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Participate in data cleaning, mapping, and validation efforts to uphold data integrity and consistency across reporting systems.
