DevOps Engineer
About the Opportunity:
The organization is a healthcare intelligence company specializing in AI and cloud technology solutions for health plans. The DevOps Engineer role is responsible for migrating VM technologies to Kubernetes, automating cloud infrastructure, and supporting distributed AI/ML systems. This position facilitates high-performance, scalable, and secure environments for healthcare clients.
Responsibilities:
• Migrate VM technologies into Kubernetes through migration or replacement
• Automate deployment and infrastructure processes to eliminate manual intervention
• Architect solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Maintain and troubleshoot distributed AI/ML technologies in the cloud
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams
• Support code configuration management and deployments in production and pre-production environments
• Communicate with engineers, other teams, and stakeholders such as product managers
• Operate in an Agile development environment
Requirements:
• Experience migrating VM technologies to Kubernetes environments
• 5 years of production support in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred)
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in containerization with Kubernetes
• Scripting skills (Python, Shell, etc.)
• Experience with Crossplane or Terraform (infrastructure as code)
• Proficiency with Linux (CentOS/RHEL)
• Experience with Spark or machine learning in the cloud
• Familiarity with distributed machine-learning/AI frameworks (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, TensorFlow, MxNet)
• Knowledge of operations security practices
• Experience in compliant environments (Hi-Trust, SOC2)
• Familiar with CI/CD frameworks
• Experience with Citus (distributed Postgres is a plus)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
• Pay range: $150,000 – $180,000 USD
• This is an exempt position. The salary range is for base salary. Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee’s geographic location.
