About The Role We are seeking a talented Product Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of browsing with advanced AI features in Dia. In this role, you will lead the development of large language model (LLM)-powered functionalities that redefine core browser primitives such as tabs, history, and navigation, making browsing effortless and work more efficient. Your work will transform ambiguous goals into elegant, intuitive solutions, setting new standards for AI integration within browsers. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with design, product, data, and leadership teams to brainstorm, prototype, and launch innovative features that deliver real impact. Our environment encourages rapid experimentation, so you will have the opportunity to move from idea to prototype within days and see the results of your work deployed weekly. This position offers a unique chance to influence how users interact with the internet by creating polished, delightful, and industry-leading experiences across multiple platforms including Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience developing high‑craft software products, particularly in user-facing applications or AI feature development from inception to deployment.
  • Hands‑on experience working with large language models (LLMs), with a strong understanding of their mechanics and applications.
  • Proven track record of solving ambiguous problems and owning complex technical initiatives that significantly impact business outcomes.
  • Pragmatic approach to development, motivated by tackling nebulous challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience working with Chromium, Swift, and development environments across Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate effectively, and thrive in a remote working environment with at least 4 hours of overlap with Eastern Time Zone colleagues.
  • Alignment with company values and a mindset geared toward scaling teams with diversity and inclusion in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, architect, and implement LLM-powered features that redefine core browser primitives such as tabs, history, and navigation.
  • Collaborate closely with design, product, data, and leadership teams to brainstorm, prototype, and launch innovative features that enhance user experience.
  • Ensure every technical decision is grounded in delivering user impact and business value, maintaining a product-minded approach.
  • Develop high‑quality, interaction-rich user experiences that set industry standards for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Familiarize yourself with Chromium, Swift, and our cross-platform development environment to deliver seamless experiences across devices.
  • Contribute to technical projects such as integrating Dia with popular applications like GSuite, Jira, and Notion to streamline workflows.
  • Reimagine traditional browsing with assistant-aware behaviors that simplify search, tabs, and history management.
  • Participate in rapid prototyping and iterative development cycles, shipping new features weekly and continuously refining the product based on user feedback.
