TeamOut Inc. is a fast-growing, YC-backed startup specialized in crafting unforgettable corporate retreats for global teams. We help companies strengthen culture, build connection, and elevate team performance through expertly organized offsites — from destination sourcing to budgeting, logistics, and onsite execution. With more than 300+ successful retreats delivered for clients like Netflix, Kayak, PWC, Brex, and Accenture, we are expanding our finance team to support scale, automation, and operational excellence.

About the Role — Financial Controller

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Controller to support and enhance TeamOut’s financial operations. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial accuracy, client billing, budgeting controls, and internal process automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, track, and reconcile financial transactions and accounts (AP/AR).

  • Prepare and maintain internal financial reports, dashboards, and records.

  • Assist clients with invoice processing, payments, and financial documentation.

  • Coordinate with vendors and venue partners on payment schedules and compliance.

  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation accuracy.

  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

  • Identify and help automate financial workflows and operational processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a financial or accounting role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment.

  • Experience with automation tools, SaaS finance systems, or ERPs is a plus.
