We are looking for a Temp-to-Perm Merchandiser, Menswear, for a top fashion company in New York City. The Merchandiser supports the development, organization & market readiness of the product assortment. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of seasonal line plans & successful preparation for key meetings & market needs.

**Responsibilities:

**

  • Maintain basic understanding of target customers through regular store visits, online research, & competitive shopping.
  • Assist in gathering market data & trend inspiration to support assortment planning.
  • Partner with PD to track & sample new developments from factories, organize & share relevant newness with the internal teams.
  • Support the review of sales results by pulling reports & highlighting best-selling styles, silhouettes & fabrications.
  • Assist in recapping selling insights that may inform future assortments.
  • Help identify opportunities within the existing line (key trends, fabrications, garment attributes), escalating recommendations to senior team members.
  • Translate finalized line plans into clear design & development matrices for internal partners.
  • Ensure design, PD & tech teams have the samples, inspiration & materials needed for development.
  • Track timelines, ensure calendar deadlines are met & notify leadership of risks or delays.
  • Support organization & coordination of all meetings (color/concept, CAD review, proto review, line finalization), including agenda prep, note taking & recap distribution.
  • Partner with PD, packaging & compliance to help route & track approvals throughout development.
  • Assist in determining sample needs by style/category & coordinate proto/sample yardage with PD.
  • Track salesman samples, monitor delivery status & support issue resolution with design/PD.
  • Help prepare samples for sales presentations, including showroom setup, labeling & organizing market tools (CADs, packaging info, line lists, etc.).
  • Support distribution of samples to sales teams & assist in preparing all selling tools.
  • Help manage off calendar requests by routing to appropriate cross-functional partners & tracking progress.
  • Maintain accurate & up to date seasonal line lists, including style details & pricing.
  • Assist in communicating add/drops & line changes across teams to support cut & sold processes.
