Crossing Hurdles is a global recruitment firm partnering with a U.S.-based, venture-backed AI design platform that helps industrial and product designers move from sketch to production-ready concepts with unmatched speed. The platform enhances designers rather than replacing them, serving as a powerful bridge between imagination and real-world physical product design.

Role: Founding Designer

Location: New York City, (Onsite — 4 days/week in office)

Compensation: $160k–$225k base Equity

YOE: 3 years in product designer shipping high-ownership work

  • Develop product foundations in close collaboration with product, engineering, and leadership.

++Requirements / Who is the ideal fit++

  • 4–6 years of product design experience with a history of shipping high-ownership work.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous 0→1 environments with speed and intention.
  • Strong balance between craft and iteration, knowing when to polish and when to move fast.
  • Systems thinking ability to simplify and untangle complex user flows.
  • Flexibility to work across product, brand, and visual design.
  • Deep commitment to making complex systems feel simple, human, and intuitive.
