Senior Technical Project Manager

Requirements

Must have:

– A minimum of 7 years of experience collaborating directly with engineering teams on software development projects. – At least 5 years in technical program or product management, overseeing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. – Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C#, C, C++, Kotlin, or TypeScript. – In-depth knowledge of REST or GraphQL protocols, including API design standards and integration techniques. – Proven experience leading Agile teams and utilizing methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe. – Strong background in defining technical roadmaps, establishing product requirements, and steering architectural decisions. – Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, API gateways, and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT, API keys). – Extensive understanding of software engineering and system architecture or distributed systems, with a capacity for engaging technically. – Ability to craft epics and user stories, manage release planning, maintain backlogs, and implement agile practices. – Skills in building consensus, influencing partners, and navigating through uncertainty. – Comprehensive understanding of scalability, reliability, and trade-offs in system design. – Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership capabilities. – Experience with large-scale distributed systems or platform engineering. – Background in software development, cloud infrastructure, or DevOps is preferred. – Proficient in project tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence. – A capacity for driving ongoing process improvements and implementing automation. – Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Own and direct the execution of one or more technical projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader objectives and delivering on time. – Collaborate with product and engineering teams to conceptualize, scope, and implement features that balance technical feasibility with business needs. – Create functional specifications, release plans, and roadmaps that clearly outline achievements, dependencies, and associated risks. – Facilitate technical discussions and evaluate trade-offs among teams to ensure the development of scalable and reliable system architectures. – Utilize agile methodologies to streamline delivery processes, constantly working to enhance efficiency. – Track execution and pace, monitoring key performance metrics while identifying potential risks, obstacles, and areas needing improvement. – Serve as the primary contact for project inquiries from both internal and external partners. – Work with engineering, product, and business teams to define execution strategies that align with organizational priorities. – Engage with peers and leaders to foster alignment across functions, even in ambiguous situations. – Lead collaborative decision-making processes, keeping essential partners informed and involved. – Provide mentorship to junior Technical Program Managers and technical leads, helping them to cultivate effective execution practices and leadership abilities.
