About The Role The Data Services Analyst at Candid plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality data solutions, insights, and reports to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with a team of data experts, the analyst will be responsible for creating custom data extracts, developing and maintaining reporting dashboards, and automating processes to enhance organizational efficiency. This client-facing and technical position requires a proactive approach to understanding stakeholder needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely data products. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical subject, business, economics, math, accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, or related roles
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries against large relational databases
- Experience with SQL Server tools such as SQL Management Studio, Reporting Services, and Integration Services
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
- Ability to analyze large datasets and synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Python, C#, or related programming languages is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure DevOps is advantageous
- Understanding of machine learning or natural language processing techniques is a plus
- Experience working with nonprofit or social sector data is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and client teams to scope and deliver custom data sets tailored to client needs
- Consult with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide effective data solutions
- Design, develop, and maintain automated data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Create and update dynamic dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of data across all reporting platforms and subscription tools
- Document code, processes, and workflows for peer review and knowledge sharing within the team
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings to coordinate tasks and share progress
- Identify opportunities to improve organizational efficiency through automation and process enhancements
- Lead or contribute to special projects that support organizational goals and data initiatives
- Partner with cross-departmental teams to support data integration and reporting needs
- Maintain high standards for data quality, security, and compliance
- Stay current with emerging data analysis techniques and tools to continuously improve service delivery
