Overview

The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial insights, forecasting, and data-driven recommendations. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, improving budgeting processes, and identifying opportunities to optimize performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, performance metrics, and operational data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and business planning.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for management.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations behind financial performance.
  • Monitor KPIs and develop recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
  • Evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and ROI analyses.
  • Assist with cash flow analysis, cost optimization, and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and enhance financial processes.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
  • Effective communication skills for presenting complex data clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems or financial reporting tools.
  • Exposure to industry research, benchmarking, or data analytics.
