Financial Analyst
Overview
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing accurate financial insights, forecasting, and data-driven recommendations. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing detailed reports, improving budgeting processes, and identifying opportunities to optimize performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, performance metrics, and operational data to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and business planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for management.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations behind financial performance.
- Monitor KPIs and develop recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
- Evaluate business cases, investment proposals, and ROI analyses.
- Assist with cash flow analysis, cost optimization, and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and enhance financial processes.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
- Effective communication skills for presenting complex data clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
