Compliance Analyst
Overview
The Compliance Analyst ensures that business operations, policies, and practices follow all relevant laws, regulations, and internal standards. This role involves monitoring activities, conducting assessments, identifying risks, and supporting the development of controls to maintain ethical and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor internal processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments to identify gaps or potential issues.
- Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and documentation for management review.
- Assist in developing, updating, and implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Investigate compliance incidents, document findings, and support corrective actions.
- Track regulatory changes and assess their impact on business operations.
- Provide guidance to employees on policies, compliance standards, and best practices.
- Support compliance training and awareness programs.
- Maintain organized records and ensure regulatory documentation is up to date.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, operations, and other teams to promote a culture of compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulatory guidelines, and risk controls.
- Experience with compliance monitoring, audits, or internal investigations is an asset.
- Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools; knowledge of compliance software is a plus.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
