• Position Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides direct patient care to individuals experiencing acute illness, trauma, or urgent medical conditions. The ER RN utilizes advanced clinical judgment, rapid assessment skills, and evidence-based practice to stabilize patients, coordinate care, and support treatment within a fast-paced, high-stress environment.Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Duties

• Perform rapid and comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with urgent or emergent health needs.
• Initiate and manage triage based on acuity and established protocols.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital guidelines.
• Monitor patient conditions, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as intubation, wound care, central line placement, splinting, and resuscitation efforts.
• Provide care during cardiac arrests, trauma activations, stroke alerts, and other emergency situations.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and interpret basic results to inform care decisions.

Qualifications Education & Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC highly preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 1 years of recent ER or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of emergency protocols, triage procedures, and life-saving interventions.
