- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Education
- Must be able to read and write as well as do simple arithmetic. Needs mechanical aptitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with limited supervision.
- Experience
- Previous experience helpful. An inexperienced worker will need three to five days of instructions and at least 30 days on-the-job training under the direction of supervisor to perform satisfactorily.
- Physical
- Normal hospital environment. Some exposure to changes in temperatures, fumes, and water. Normal/corrected eyesight. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperature by touch and proximity. Operates laundry processing equipment. Lifting, carrying up to 25lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 350 lbs. Continuous standing, walking, bending and stooping.

- Perform various duties related to sorting, folding, drying, stocking carts, and transporting linen to ensure a productive flow of linen to hospital departments.
