Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Take the next step as a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology, stationed in the vibrant heart of California’s wine country—Lodi. In this role you will partner with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate cancer care, guide patients through challenging therapies, manage complex side effects, and support families with clarity and empathy. Your expertise will help patients pursue their treatment objectives with dignity and hope, from infusion rooms to symptom management clinics and survivorship planning. California’s beauty welcomes you outside the shifts: rolling vineyards, sunlit valleys, redwood forests, and a coastline within a short drive, offering weekend adventures from hot air balloon rides to tasting tours and breathtaking hikes. The state’s diversity mirrors the diversity of the people you will serve, providing a meaningful backdrop for a career that blends science, compassion, and community impact.
Location benefits: Lodi offers a balanced lifestyle with access to top healthcare facilities and a supportive nursing community. The area pairs affordable living, accessible amenities, and a mild climate conducive to year-round activities. For nurses drawn to exploring new settings, the program offers opportunities to work across various locations in the U.S., enabling you to expand clinical skills, encounter diverse patient populations, and build a national network of colleagues. Whether you’re treating patients in a community hospital in Northern California or stepping into a longer assignment elsewhere, you’ll experience unique regional care philosophies and patient stories that strengthen your practice and broaden your perspective.
Role specifics and benefits: In this oncology RN role you’ll assess patient condition, administer chemotherapy and biologic therapies via appropriate infusion routes, monitor for adverse reactions, manage central lines, oversee safe medication administration, and coordinate with oncologists, social workers, dietitians, and palliative care teams. You’ll provide patient education on treatment plans, plan symptom management, and document care in electronic health records with precision. You’ll have opportunities for professional growth through oncology-specific certifications, mentorship, and a clear pathway to expand responsibilities as you gain expertise in tumor boards, survivorship planning, and research-informed practice. The position offers competitive compensation in the range of 1,732 to 1,831 per week, with a potential bonus and housing assistance to ease relocation. You’ll also have extension opportunities to continue the contract if you and the facility are a good match. We provide comprehensive support to keep you moving forward—24/7 assistance while traveling with the company, travel coordination, credentialing support, and a dedicated clinical liaison who is available whenever you need guidance, questions, or a quick solution to a staffing challenge.
Company values: Our organization is built on empowering frontline nurses—investing in ongoing education, promoting evidenced-based practice, and cultivating a respectful, collaborative environment that recognizes your expertise. We champion career advancement through structured paths, flexible assignments, and a culture of mentorship that elevates you as a leader in oncology nursing while honoring your work-life balance and personal goals.
