Entry-Level .NET Software Developer

Pontiac, MI 48341 (Hybrid – at least 2 days on site)

Role Summary:

An entry-level developer responsible for contributing to the development, testing, and maintenance of web and desktop applications using C# and .NET . The role works closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, maintainable C# / .NET code
  • Assist in debugging and testing applications
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Support API, integration, and database tasks
  • Collaborate with internal teams on features and fixes

Required Skills :

(Entry-level – basic understanding is acceptable)

  • C# and .NET (Core and/or Framework)
  • Basic web development concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies

Preferred / Plus Skills (college coursework or projects)

  • Python
  • React.js
  • Node.js
  • SQL (any RDBMS)
  • DevOps tools
  • General scripting (PowerShell, Shell, etc.)

Technical Environment (used by the department)

GIS / Spatial: ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online

Databases: SQL Server, Postgres, Amazon RDS, Oracle PL/SQL

.NET / Backend: C#, ASP.NET, MVC, IIS

Java Stack: Java, J2EE, WebSphere, Eclipse, Tomcat, JBoss

BI / ETL: SSIS, SSRS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Informatica

Cloud / DevOps: AWS, Azure, Azure DevOps

Other: PowerShell, ServiceNow, Linux, Windows Server
