About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Specialist to transform complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This role involves working independently with significant latitude for judgment, providing consultative services, and developing advanced data analysis tools to support organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Transform raw data into meaningful information to inform business decisions.
- Acquire data from multiple sources, ensure database integrity, and generate regular reports.
- Provide senior-level consultative services and technical assistance to stakeholders.
- Analyze priority initiatives and special projects using business analysis best practices.
- Develop data analysis tools, define data requirements, and recommend solutions to project leadership.
- Work under limited supervision with extensive autonomy and initiative.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields.
- Proven ability to research, gather, and analyze data; prepare concise reports; and devise solutions to complex problems.
- Expertise in transforming data into actionable insights and presenting findings to executive stakeholders.
- Experience developing as-is / to-be data models to identify operational efficiencies.
- Skilled in mapping data, establishing benchmarks, and creating frameworks for trend analysis and performance measurement.
- Strong understanding of data policies and procedures and their impact on automated systems.
- Ability to create metadata, tables, and user interfaces for clear reporting.
- Proficiency in developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using advanced reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using advanced tools.
- 5 years experience developing strategic and SDLC project materials (gap analysis, roadmaps, requirements, design documents).
- 1 year experience in State or Federal Public Sector environments.
