Java Developer (Backend) GCP Focus

Position Name : Java Developer (Backend) — GCP Focus Location: Columbus OH/Chicago, IL/ Detroit, MI or Minneapolis, MN Position Type: Fulltime We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-stack development, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, testers, product managers) to define and implement new features.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems for performance and scalability.
Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and third-party services.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
10+years of hands-on Java development experience.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
Proficiency with Java 8+, Spring / Spring Boot, Hibernate / JPA, and RESTful APIs.
Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
Solid understanding of unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
