Financial Analyst
Soni is partnering with a Higher Education Organization seeking a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will support the Finance division’s financial operations and report to the Director.
Responsibilities:
- Manages monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and forecasting of major areas of revenue and expense.
- Collaborates with departments to develop quarterly forecasts and the annual budget submission, applying financial insights to analyze and present comprehensive divisional budgets.
- Provides updates on any and all changes that affect the budgets of assigned Finance division departments.
- Initiates, reviews and approves journal entries and ensures the standards for financial integrity and transactions have been met.
- Reviews and facilitates purchasing activities, including invoices, expense reports, requisitions and purchase orders, to ensure compliance, transparency, and fiscal responsibility.
- Serves as key liaison to Finance division departments, responding to inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- Performs special projects and other related job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ yrs’ related experience
- Strong data analysis and modeling skills
- Experience with financial accounting and/or reporting systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in higher education
Compensation: $35-$40/ Hour
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
