Head of Application Engineering
Job Summary In this role you will lead and grow the Applications Engineering team to drive integration, performance, and adoption of advanced battery solutions across consumer, wearable, and defense technologies while serving as the senior technical interface for top-tier customers.
Required to have a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field, 15+ years in applications or systems engineering with battery or consumer electronics experience, proven leadership of high-performing teams, system-level knowledge in smartphones, AR/AI devices, wearables, or defense electronics, and technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Applications Engineering team, driving technical excellence and clear priorities.
- Integrate advanced battery cells into smartphones, AR/AI glasses, wearables, and defense products.
- Serve as the senior technical interface for top-tier customers, guiding design-ins, validation, and program strategy.
- Oversee deliverables including integration guides, datasheets, reference designs, and performance analyses.
- Align with R&D, Product, Sales, Quality, and Manufacturing to translate customer use cases into product solutions.
- Test and validate battery solutions for performance, safety, and reliability.
- Track industry trends and competitive technologies to support strategy and benchmarking.
- Represent the organization in customer meetings, internal reviews, and industry events.
