About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions within our Consumer Insights and Analytics team. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to the Marketing and Sales teams, utilizing their expertise to build sophisticated machine learning models, optimize business processes, and drive data-driven decision-making. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements, with preference given to candidates residing within a commutable distance of Bridgewater, New Jersey, Chicago, Illinois, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, or Long Island, New York. The Lead Data Scientist will be instrumental in enhancing analytical capabilities, supporting business growth, and shaping the future of health and nutrition through innovative data science initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or Applied Scientist
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying advanced analytical models and algorithms
  • Proficiency in machine learning techniques including regression, clustering, AI, deep learning, and natural language processing
  • Strong programming skills in Python and R
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Databricks, Azure ML, Apache Spark, Snowflake, AWS, and BigQuery
  • Ability to transform raw data into meaningful features for modeling
  • Experience in designing and analyzing A/B tests and causal inference methodologies
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Experience with optimization models and agile data science practices
  • Knowledge of retail analytics, advertising data, and eCommerce datasets is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical insights into business strategies

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced data science solutions to support decision-making and optimize business performance within Consumer Insights & Analytics
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, build statistical and machine learning models, and solve critical business challenges
  • Design deep learning and natural language processing models to analyze complex data across various business processes
  • Monitor, evaluate, and refine deployed models to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance
  • Research, test, and evaluate emerging AI technologies and platforms to ensure the best tools are utilized for business objectives
  • Integrate the latest data science innovations into product solutions to enhance data, analytics, and automation capabilities
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align analytical projects with business goals
  • Build, maintain, and improve analytics tools to accelerate insights delivery and value realization
  • Transform raw data into actionable insights through visualization and storytelling using Power BI, Tableau, and other tools
  • Develop recommendation engines for sales, customer targeting, and supply chain optimization
  • Design and analyze experiments, including A/B testing, to assess the impact of business initiatives
  • Implement optimization models to enhance decision-making processes across functions
