Application Security Engineer

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• 5 years of experience in application security, penetration testing, or a related field
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP) and one programming language (Java, Objective-C)
• Strong understanding of web and mobile application security testing methodologies
• Solid understanding of the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25 vulnerabilities
• Proficiency with Mac OS X or UNIX/Linux systems

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, KMS, RDS) and security best practices
• General knowledge of common web technology stacks (LAMP, LEMP, MEAN, etc.)
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manually test web applications and perform enterprise-level penetration testing
• Conduct secure application architecture reviews
• Articulate the size and scope of security assessments and penetration testing engagements
• Stay ahead of evolving threat landscapes through continuous learning and vulnerability research
