NCDIT provides technology services to state agencies and is charged with closing the digital divide by expanding availability of broadband services and promoting the adoption of affordable, high-speed internet.Description of Work Salary Range: $78,467 – $117,701Are you ready to take the next step in your career?We currently have an opening for a Senior Product AnalystThis position may be eligible for hybrid remote work in accordance with state policy and the agency’s remote work program but does require weekly onsite workKey Responsibilities: The Letting and Compliance Systems team is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to serve as a Technical Specialist, Senior Business Analyst and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the AASHTOWare Project software application suite of products—specifically the Preconstruction, Civil Rights and Labor, and Data Analytics modules.This is an opportunity to join a high performing Agile Software Development Team as a senior-level technical and analytical resource focused on supporting and enhancing mission-critical applications that support NCDOT’s construction contract bidding, letting, and payroll compliance processes.Under the direction of the Product Team Supervisor, You Will:
- Lead Integration Efforts: Coordinate across development teams and business units to resolve integration issues and ensure seamless system performance
- Product Management: Oversee small to mid-sized software feature development projects, working closely with product owners, architects, and developers
- Facilitate Collaboration: Host Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, stakeholder meetings, and backlog reviews to align priorities and keep work on track
- System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide end-to-end support, including production environments, maintaining system uptime and user satisfaction
- Deployment Oversight: Monitor software releases to ensure secure, high-performance integrations, validations of deployments post-release
- Technical Problem Solving: Resolve system compatibility and connectivity issues, and support automated testing and validation
- Documentation & Testing: Develop and review User Stories, test cases, and scripts to meet technical and business standards
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison for business users, translating needs into actionable functional and non-functional requirements and ensuring clear communication
- Training & Adoption: Deliver product demos, create training materials, and support user onboarding to drive adoption and minimize post-launch issues
This position supports NCDIT-Transportation Division’s Letting and Compliance Systems application team by developing and maintaining core applications and enterprise system integrations that support NCDOT’s construction project bidding, letting, fair competition analysis, for construction projects and submittal, auditing, and certification of construction contract payrolls to comply with Federal and State laws.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesThe following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
