We’re recruiting a Chief of Staff to join the Canopy Connect leadership team. This person will work closely with the CEO and COO as their right-hand person. The successful candidate will have an outsized impact on the business and will act as the primary “go-to” person on issues large and small.

We expect that successful candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds. What we are looking for is a combination of analytical rigour (e.g. accounting, law, management consulting or finance) and start-up experience in similar roles.

This role is expected to be largely unstructured. Examples of projects that this role may take on include:

  • Follow-up communications from COO/CEO meetings with key customers and partners

  • Strategic accounts sales support (e.g. capture strategy, sales enablement materials, voice of exec in prospect calls)

  • Prepare the quarterly board report and investor letter

  • Special projects as they arise

  • Cross functional revops optimization

  • MSA rewrite

  • Customer success process flows and optimization

  • Pricing & packaging decisions

  • Channel partner optimization

About you:

  • 4 years professional experience
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, particularly at a product-led growth org with DTC/SMB and enterprise lines of business (Stripe, Slack, Grammarly, etc.)
  • Experience at a Series A or earlier startup
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working in nebulous environments with minimal oversight
  • Clear, concise, and confident communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Lifelong learner
  • Extraordinarily organized

Bonus points for:

  • Experience at a company selling APIs and/or data (vs. a platform)
  • Experience in insurance, payments, banking, FinTech, and/or InsurTech
  • Experience at hypergrowth startup that scaled substantially during your tenure
  • Prior roles in BizOps, Special Projects, or Strategy
  • Prior experience as a founder

We are hiring in the United States and Canada to work fully remotely.

The expected compensation range for this role is $140k-165k and could increase beyond that commensurate with experience
