About the Role
We are seeking a Teradata Infrastructure DBA to join our team and support database engineering initiatives. In this role, you will collaborate with other infrastructure DBAs to maintain and optimize Teradata environments, ensuring reliability and compliance with organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in low-to-moderately complex database engineering projects and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Review and analyze database engineering tasks, researching and evaluating alternatives for low-to-medium risk deliverables.
- Provide recommendations and solutions for moderately complex issues, exercising independent judgment within established policies and procedures.
- Share technical information and guidance with internal teams related to Teradata infrastructure.
- Assist other Teradata Infrastructure DBAs as needed.
What You’ll Work On
- Teradata infrastructure administration (not application DBA tasks).
- Unix-based system operations and OS certificate management.
- Teradata specialty tools such as Viewpoint (VP) , Data Mover (DM) , and QueryGrid (QG).
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in Database Engineering or equivalent experience through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
- Strong proficiency in Unix.
- Familiarity with Teradata infrastructure and tools (VP, DM, QG).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with OS certificate management.
- Knowledge of Teradata specialty software and infrastructure best practices.
