Job Description:

Position: Information Security Analyst

Location: Columbia, SC hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

Years of Exp: 08 Years

Contract Type: C2C/W2

Duration: 12 Months

Candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident. No relocation allowed.

Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Information Security Analyst with strong experience supporting IRS Publication 1075 compliance initiatives. This role will assist with preparing for an upcoming IRS Safeguards Review by coordinating technical and administrative compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

· Review Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and evaluate effectiveness related to Safeguard Review readiness.

· Assess SSR, SSPs, and SSAs for Pub 1075 compliance and ensure proper documentation and evidence preparation.

· Identify applicable IRS SCSEMs, evaluate agency compliance, and support remediation efforts.

· Coordinate all Safeguard Review preparation activities, reporting, and communications using project management standards.

· Assist with follow-up activities post-review, including developing CAPs to address findings.

· Provide expert guidance on technical solutions to ensure applications and infrastructure meet Pub 1075 requirements.

· Research and recommend technical solutions to support compliance.

Required Skills

· 5 years of expert-level Security Analyst experience

· 3 years of participation in preparing for at least one IRS Safeguard Review at a state agency

· Strong IRS SCSEM technical expertise

· 3 years working with IRS Publication 1075 (Rev. 11-2021)

· Strong communication skills (technical & non-technical)

· Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams

· Understanding of industry standards such as ISO, IEEE

Preferred Skills

· Experience with Child Support Enforcement systems or program knowledge

· Experience with Federal/State regulatory compliance (FISMA, NIST, IRS Pub 1075)

· Strong background in technical documentation, audit support, safeguard reviews, and security assessments
