Join us and start doing your life’s best work.SMResponsibilities of the Sales Operations Specialist (SOS) include quoting medical and ancillary products for small businesses throughout the country. This includes duties such as updating and manipulating data within Excel spreadsheets, gathering required documents and details, and coordinating with our underwriting partners. This role acts as liaison for our sales partners to ensure critical updates and all requirements are received to produce an accurate quote.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
- Process 51 – 100 quote requests as assigned in the inventory tracking system or by manager
- Review documents and market reference tools to create a quote
- Work with internal and external contacts to gather missing information and clarify data that was submitted
- Use appropriate quoting system to process quotes as required by markets
- Work with Underwriting and Underwriting tools to provide underwritten rates
- Process 51 – 100 Sold Case Submissions, as assigned in inventory system or by manager using outlined policies and procedures on OneNote, to follow market nuances
- Work closely with AE, Broker, and Case Installation team to get a case through contract issuance
- Manage data, including a personal email box and shared folders
- Work in multiple applications including Microsoft Excel and Solaris
- Work within required timelines and meeting turnaround time expectations
- Adherence to productivity metrics
- Multi – task many responsibilities, that may or may not be related, through thoughtful prioritization and documentation
- Capacity for ongoing learning of quoting and sales implementation functions.
- Demonstrates flexibility to support additional quoting teams in response to workload demands
- Special projects may include, but are not limited to, data cleanup, employee training, and peer work auditing

- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 6+ months of experience with Small Business 51+ Quoting
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Word (create / edit docs), Microsoft Excel (create / edit spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email / calendar)
- Ability to work our normal business hours
- Ability to work overtime during peak season (September – January)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree (or higher)
- Experience using Small Business Quoting tools – SORT, Solaris, Newton2, BVT, etc.
- Demonstrated history of meeting quality and productivity metrics
- Microsoft PowerPoint

- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment.
