Job Summary:

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. This role involves dismantling, adjusting, repairing, and reassembling equipment based on layout plans, blueprints, manuals, sketches, or drawings. The technician uses diagnostic tools to identify issues and may rebuild or modify equipment as directed by manufacturing engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in manufacturing equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble machinery following technical documentation and schematics.
• Perform repairs and adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform system checkouts.
• Rebuild or refurbish manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Implement equipment modifications under the guidance of manufacturing engineers.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing floor with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
• May require standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
