This PEM will lead specific technical, and project related nuclear power plant design topics in support of execution of new project contracts. Efforts also include the planning and capture phase of future contracts working with APx Delivery Organizations.You will report to the Sr Project Engineering Manager, Early Works Project Engineering North America and be located in Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2+ days per week.Key Responsibilities: Project Engineering Leadership

  • Lead scope execution across assigned technical areas, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Monitoring engineering schedules, budgets, and resource loading in collaboration with Resource and Project Managers.
  • Lead FEED scope execution including CAPEX, DOR, Schedule and Index of Engineering document development, etc.
  • Represent engineering disciplines in Project Review Meetings.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and develop recovery plans.
  • Drive solution-oriented thinking across the teams.
  • Guide continuous improvement plans and project/program expansion opportunities.
  • Responsible for time approval, development and performance management of direct reports.

Team & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Functional Area Leads and Project Coordinators.
  • Support the Sr PEM and Design Technical Lead in strategic planning and execution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster cross-functional collaboration.
  • Interfaces with clients, regulatory body, and/or project designated partners to support Westinghouse partner engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline).

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably with AP1000 or AP300 projects

  • Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas:

  • Design & Analysis: NSSS components, piping, electrical, civil/structural

  • Systems Engineering: Nuclear systems, turbine island, plant layout

  • Licensing & Analysis: Licensing, Domestic/International Regulatory interaction, Safety Analysis, Probability Risk Assessment

  • Layout Integration & Digital Design: Plant layout integration, configuration control, digital design

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to travel (up to ~10-20% during peak periods)

Salary: We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
