Education Associate
The person in this position will coordinate and monitor the development, administration, scoring, and reporting of assessments, especially overseeing the timely delivery of all products. This may include coordinating work of Department staff, other state agencies, district staff, testing administrators at academic institutions, and contractors. Monitor and/or develop materials (e.g., test booklets, test manuals, score reports. Develop and implement procedure. Design assessment strategic plans in accordance with the purpose(s) of the assessments and in accordance with accepted standards for psychometric theory, research, and practice. Develop or assist in the development of publications, presentations, data review analysis reports, and Web releases related to the various assessments for which the office is responsible. Other duties as assigned.This position is located in the Office of Education Choice and Family Engagement.A bachelor’s degree and experience in education, management or business.
Master’s degree in Educational Measurement, Educational Psychology, Psychometrics, Statistics, or a closely related field. A Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in one of the above fields is preferred, especially for roles involving leadership in assessment design or policy. At least two to three (2-3) years of professional experience in developing and administering educational assessments applying psychometric principles, including Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Item Response Theory (IRT). Experience working with item banks, test blueprints, and scoring models.
