Business Overview and Culture:Camp Bow Wow® – be a part of creating a better world for pets while achieving our vision of Happy Healthy Pets, Happy Healthy People.About the Job: We are a doggy day camp and overnight boarding facility that cares for dogs 365 days a year including weekends and every holiday. We are busiest during the summer and over holidays.Camp Counselors are at the heart of the Camp Bow wow operation. We are seeking PATIENT, hard-working, observant, reliable, dog-loving team players! Must be willing to clean up messes, supervise play groups, feed, medicate, and monitor health and behavior. Attention to detail is a MUST!Canine experience is preferred but everyone is trained the same regardless of experience .Shifts: Monday-Saturday

  • 11:45am – 7:pm.

Sundays / Holidays both shifts are a must:

  • 6:15am-11am. and 2:45pm-7pm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor dogs in play yards.
  • Maintain a clean environment — we use chemicals to clean constantly throughout the day.
  • Feeding, medications, cleaning cabins, lifting heavy items.
  • Maintain the ultimate in safety standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Basic dog grooming — baths and nail trims if you are able.
  • Fill in other roles at Camp when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills:

  • PATIENCE – Dogs can push your buttons and need lots of redirection in a group environment.
  • Self-starter: organized and eagle-eyed.
  • Some basic computer skills
  • Must be punctual.
  • Energetic and outgoing with an upbeat and positive personality.
  • Must be able to work individually as well as in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • MUST LOVE DOGS.

Requirements:

  • Prior work experience with dogs preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be punctual.
  • Be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to walk and stand during the entire shift.
  • Have reliable transportation.
  • Be able to lift and carry 30 lbs.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work both shits on Sundays and holidays.
  • Position will include standing for extended periods, bending, walking, exposure to cleaning chemicals, and dog fur/hair, exposure to loud noise.
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions.
