Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for assignment in Cantil, California. The selected candidate will primarily maintain and repair industrial equipment.Hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm** This position has a pay rate of $38 – $40/hr **Responsibilities – Ability to operate heavy machinery such as Motor Grader, 420 Backhoe, 415 Skip Loader, Water Truck, Streetsweeper, CAT Compactor and Dump Truck- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment- PM activities include measurement of wear, replacement of expendables (belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation such as speeds, pressures, vacuum or vibration- Analyzes findings during PM and recommends changes to PM based upon findings- Completes repairs including rebuilding of pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid device- Communicates directly with the customer and site lead in assuring that all aspects of a work request are understood, that parts are ordered or job is completed- Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment such as generators, motors, motor starters and pumps- Supervise Sub-Contractors related to equipmentQualifications – High School Diploma or GED- A valid Drivers License- 2+ years experience as a Diesel Mechanic#IND
