Supervisor – Sterile Processing Department
These roles provide essential assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering patient care. Ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by handling tasks that support the diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care. Allied Health – Health Services professionals work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.These roles focus on the preparation, performance, and post-operative support to surgical teams. Responsibilities include sterilization, instrument preparation and handling, and or operational or hands-on support required during surgery. May work in our hospitals, surgical centers, and clinics, and have responsibilities from planning and preparation to recovery and follow-up. Does not include Perioperative Nurses.Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports.Supervises support level employees. Sets goals and objectives for other employees within the Job Area. Develops solutions to a variety of routine problems, and escalates more complex issues to higher-level managers. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent required Associate’s Degree Preferred.Experience: 3 years progressive leadership experience, preferably in a hospital setting. 3 years’ direct experience working within surgical services in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting preferred.Licensure: Specific certifications and licensures required. See job requisition for specific requirements.PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 — 100lbs.
