Akkodis is seeking aSenior Java Developer for a Contract job with a client inSunnyvale, CA (3x/week onsite) or Austin, TX. The ideal candidate must have experience in Java development, including strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle, NoSQL, and AWS is required.

Rate Range: $49.24/hour to $53.03/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Java Developer job responsibilities include:

  • Develop scalable Java microservices using Java 8 , Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
  • Lead technical design and provide guidance to development teams.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Work with relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Collaborate using Git/GitHub and CI/CD tools.
  • Optimize performance through multithreading and networking best practices.
  • Ensure high test coverage using JUnit and Mockito.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development.
  • 2 years of experience as a technical lead.
  • Strong expertise in Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate.
  • Experience with Oracle and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
  • Proficiency in Git/GitHub and version control systems.
  • Solid understanding of multithreading, performance tuning, and backend architecture.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.

Pay Details: $49.24 to $53.03 per hour
