GD&T, Mechnical Inspection, CMM, Blueprint (Swing Shift – 2pm to 10:30pm)
Job Description:
- The Quality Operations Support candidate will support client manufactured test equipment. Specific duties include: mechanical measurement of precision milled and turned sub-miniature high frequency electronic parts to ensure functionality and accuracy.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing inspection of sub-assemblies or final assemblies or client products. Interprets prints, manufacturing drawings, and/or diagrams in approving or rejecting in-process or final assemblies. Maintains records and/ or databases.
- Working within the designated area of expertise, the candidate will clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting Client technicians and NPI Engineers.
Requirements:
- Prior experience is strongly preferred. Applicants should have at least 4 years of related experience.
Position requires some education, and/or specialized training/certification:
- Must have strong Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) background, and be able to read blueprints. Should have a basic understanding of mechanical metrology hand tool usage.
- GD&T experience is a MUST. The manager indicated that this is not something that is “trainable “.
- Experience using automated software platforms is a plus. Strong PC (MS Windows/Office) skills are a must.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine and Optical Surface Profilers preferred.
