As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse professionals around the world. You will make an impact by:

  • Supporting manufacturing operations to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality production of life-saving products.
  • Coordinating project timelines, budgets, construction activities, and personnel to successfully complete assigned projects involving process improvement and/or automated assembly.
  • Defining and executing competitive bidding strategies.
  • Specifying equipment performance and mechanical design criteria for automated assembly and automated inspection.
  • Leading automation projects that deliver validated products and processes while maintaining effective communication with project teams, operations staff, and engineering colleagues.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, guidelines, and standards.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, the company requires the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or aerospace preferred) from an accredited institution.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or assembly process development, evaluation, and support in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • 1–3 years of project management experience in a similar environment.
  • 1–3 years of experience in mechanical drafting, 3D modeling, machine design, fixture development, and/or process integration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in equipment specification, design, and procurement for automated or robotic assembly applications.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience in fabricating and troubleshooting automated assembly equipment.
  • Prior experience or familiarity with light assembly, automation, robotics, material handling, or inspection equipment.
  • Experience with Keyence vision systems or Fanuc robots/vision systems preferred.
  • Proven success applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve productivity and quality.
  • Experience implementing poka-yoke processes and reducing PFMEA RPN scores.
  • Ability to determine project priorities using Lean and Six Sigma tools.

Additional Technical Skills

  • Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, PFMEA
  • Minitab (MSA, capability studies, DOE)
  • MS PowerApps / Power BI (developing production dashboards, downtime tracking, or metric reporting interfaces)
  • SAP (BOM and recipe creation/maintenance)

Soft Skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive problem solver.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision, identify issues, and seek assistance when needed.
  • Skilled in planning, devising, or adapting methods to improve manufacturing production and quality.
