++Position Overview++

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Analyst with a strong business analysis background to collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders. This is a functional/business-facing role —ideal for professionals skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and driving ServiceNow solutions without hands-on coding responsibilities.

The successful candidate will contribute to both a greenfield ServiceNow implementation and support an existing heavily customized legacy instance .

++Key Responsibilities++

  • Act as a liaison between business teams and ServiceNow developers to define, document, and implement effective solutions.

  • Gather requirements, analyze workflows, and document processes for various ServiceNow modules.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives.

  • Support and optimize Software Asset Management (SAM) , Hardware Asset Management (HAM) , and IT Asset Management (ITAM) .

  • Contribute to the setup and success of the greenfield ServiceNow implementation .

  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and IT governance best practices.

  • Facilitate meetings, communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users, and manage expectations.

++Required Qualifications++

  • 8+ years of IT experience (or 6+ with a Master’s degree ) with strong ServiceNow expertise as a Business Analyst.

  • Deep knowledge of ServiceNow modules : SAM, HAM, ITAM (best practices for both on-prem and SaaS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

  • Prior experience working in a SOX-compliant environment preferred.

  • Exposure to ITOM modules is a plus.

  • Must be local to Reston, VA , or willing to relocate before joining (onsite 2 days/week — Wed/Thu).

  • Must NOT have federal/public sector background experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
