About The Role
The Lead Data Analyst at Parachute Health plays a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This leadership position requires a blend of advanced analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and team mentorship. The successful candidate will spearhead high-impact analytical projects, partnering with cross-functional teams to uncover insights that shape business strategies and product development. Additionally, this role involves mentoring junior analysts, establishing best practices in analytics, and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels. The Lead Data Analyst will also contribute to defining the company’s analytical framework, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and relevance in all data-driven initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 7+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related analytical roles
- Minimum of 1 year in senior-level roles with leadership and cross-functional responsibilities
- Proficiency with modern data stacks and cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Expertise in SQL and Python for statistical analysis and data manipulation
- Advanced experience with BI tools like Looker, including LookML and dashboard development
- Knowledge of statistical methods, A/B testing, experimentation design, and causal inference
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and collaboration with analytics engineers
- Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning, or advanced analytics (preferred)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members and influence stakeholders
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex analyses into clear narratives
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive strategic decisions in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional analyses that directly influence business strategy and product direction
- Manage end-to-end analytical projects, from problem framing to insight delivery and impact measurement
- Design and implement analytical frameworks, metrics, and dashboards to enable self-service insights across the organization
- Establish and enforce standards for analytical rigor, documentation, and best practices
- Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches with defined methodologies
- Lead high-complexity initiatives involving multiple teams and business domains
- Set project goals, ensure timely delivery, and uphold high-quality standards in analytics output
- Communicate complex findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Mentor and develop junior data analysts, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities where data can drive efficiency, growth, and impact
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment by integrating analytical insights with broader business strategies
- Promote a culture of experimentation, measurement, and data-driven decision-making
- Encourage knowledge sharing, continuous feedback, and collaboration across teams
