Job Title: Lead Java Developer/ Java Architect

Location: Preferred open to relocate to East Coast Onsite/Hybrid USA EST Coast

Duration: Long Term Contract

Description

  • We are seeking a strong Lead Java Developer / Java Architect with 10 years’ experience who can drive design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on coding skills in Java, deep experience in microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), and be able to mentor technical teams while ensuring high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end architecture, design and development of scalable, secure, high-performance applications.
  • Develop and maintain microservices using Java Spring Boot.
  • Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, CI/CD practices, and architectural principles.
  • Perform code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize system performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
  • Collaborate with DevOps team for cloud deployment and release management.

Technical Skills Required

  • Core Java, Java 11 /17 strong programming fundamentals.
  • Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud.
  • Microservices Architecture & distributed system design.
  • RESTful APIs design & integration.
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform).
  • Databases: PostgreSQL / Oracle / MySQL / MongoDB.
  • CI/CD & DevOps tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Messaging / Event-streaming: Kafka / MQ / RabbitMQ (preferred).
  • Experience with Caching frameworks like Redis / Hazelcast (plus).
  • Experience with API Gateway, Service Mesh, OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Exposure to performance tuning and distributed caching.
  • Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Cloud Certifications (AWS / Azure).

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
