Summary

We’re seeking a Senior Database Administrator to provide expert-level support for SQL Server environments, primarily assisting the Child Care team with database design, performance tuning, and security best practices. The role also involves maintaining, optimizing, and ensuring the availability of agency-wide SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:

· Mentor developers in schema design, query optimization, and security.

· Perform SQL Server tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability management.

· Manage upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting across multiple environments.

· Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams and lead database initiatives end-to-end.

· Provide after-hours maintenance support when needed.

Required Skills

· 6 years of experience as a Database Administrator (SQL Server 2008R2–2016)

· 6 years of experience with Backup/Recovery

· 6 years of experience with Performance Tuning

· Expertise in performance tuning, backup/recovery, and HA/DR solutions

· Strong knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and RedGate tools

· Experience with PowerShell scripting and database automation

· Excellent analytical and communication skills
