Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace Vehicle Systems

Location: Marietta, GA

What You’ll Be Doing

• Serve as a subject matter expert across vehicle systems including fuel, hydraulic, electrical, ECS, and more.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design engineering, quality, supply chain, EHS, and production operations to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Provide producibility reviews to influence engineering requirements and improve build efficiency.
• Develop 3D manufacturing simulations to streamline assembly processes, perform clash detection, and sequence tasks across the product lifecycle.
• Review critical designs and provide design-for-manufacturability feedback to reduce cost and enhance supplier performance.
• Create and manage Manufacturing Engineering Statements of Work (SOW) and contractual requirements.

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

• 8 years of experience supporting aerospace vehicle systems in a production environment.
• 8 years of experience in production operations and/or engineering roles.
• 8 years of experience providing producibility inputs to design engineering teams.
• 5 years of CAD experience (CATIA V4/V5, 3DX preferred).
• Prior experience in Manufacturing Engineering supporting program start-ups, assembly, and production processes.

Bonus Points (Preferred Skills)

• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA).
• Strong problem-solving skills in vehicle systems manufacturing and testing.
• Experience with Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, and FMEA.
• Proven ability to plan and coordinate production work cells and facility layout changes.
• Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, process specifications, and develop manufacturing work instructions.
• Effective communicator with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and implement corrective actions independently or collaboratively.
