Senior SAP IBP Functional Consultant

Locations: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) | C2H / Full-time

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Functional Consultant with 9-10 years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting IBP solutions across Demand, Supply, Inventory, and S&OP planning areas. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in transitioning from SAP APO to SAP IBP, coupled with excellent business process knowledge and functional design capabilities.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and global counterparts to ensure seamless integration, optimization, and delivery of next-generation planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and deployment of SAP IBP modules (Demand, Supply, Inventory, Response, and S&OP).
  • Drive APO to IBP migration initiatives, ensuring process continuity and solution stability.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and deliver optimized IBP solutions.
  • Partner with business users to enhance forecasting accuracy, inventory visibility, and supply planning efficiency.
  • Work on integration between IBP and S/4HANA / ECC using CPI-DS or other middleware tools.
  • Perform UAT, issue resolution, and post-go-live support for IBP environments.
  • Collaborate with offshore teams for solution delivery and knowledge transfer.
  • Support continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the planning domain.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 9-10 years of SAP IBP functional experience (Demand, Supply, Inventory, S&OP).
  • Proven experience in transitioning from SAP APO to IBP (hands-on migration and design expertise).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning concepts, key figures, planning operators, and data models.
  • Experience in integration with S/4HANA or ECC and data management via CPI-DS.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global delivery environment.
