Sr. Director of Online Sales
Job Summary:
Insight Global is seeking a dynamic leader to drive eCommerce growth and sales strategy across multiple channels for our client. This role will oversee initiatives that boost awareness, traffic, conversion, and profitability while ensuring excellence in product content and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute short- and long-term sales, marketing, pricing, and distribution plans to ensure profitable growth in existing and new markets.
- Lead strategies that drive awareness, traffic, conversion, revenue, and profitability across all eCommerce platforms.
- Manage product content and create eCommerce assets (images, videos, A+ content) in partnership with Marketing.
- Establish standards and best practices for traffic generation, content management, promotions, and product bundling.
- Apply account-specific SEO best practices, pricing policies, and inventory management for key online retailers.
- Oversee eCommerce technology platform strategy, ensuring optimization and continuous improvement.
- Use advanced analytics to identify sales trends and new market opportunities, shaping responsive strategies.
- Direct sales forecasting and set performance goals for online and traditional sales teams.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis across physical and digital channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and strategic partners (online and brick-and-mortar).
- Support product research and development, aligning launches with channel-specific strategies.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in consumer hard goods.
- 7–10+ years of proven success in eCommerce with major platforms (Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart).
- 7+ years in supervisory roles, managing teams of 5+ people.
- Experience developing and leading growth-oriented sales organizations.
- Strong background in working with large traditional retailers.
